Parts Work Together
My name is Richard Hughes, and I have been practising as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed Practitioner since early 2023.

I help people in both their personal and work lives, and also work with people who are thinking of training or have already started to train in IFS.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?

Do you ever feel that there is part of you which prevents you from realising your full potential? Maybe there is a part getting in the way. Perhaps it is a part that is angry, moody, stubborn, or resentful.

Using Internal Family Systems we welcome all the various parts of you – there are no bad parts. As we work together to identify the various parts, we can find out what they need, and help the parts work together as a whole.

At work and at home I can help you to:
-
Improve relationships
-
Reduce procrastination
-
Reduce stress
-
Make decisions
-
Remove creative blocks
-
Befriend Inner critics
-
Increase self compassion

Where do I work?

I work in person at Helix House in Oxford, UK and globally online including the United States, Canada, Europe including UK, and elsewhere.

Should I see an IFS Practitioner or an IFS Therapist?
As an IFS-informed Practitioner I am trained to work with people who are able to function reasonably well in the world.  If that is you, then I am happy to see you. I can help you get from ‘OK’ to ‘Good’, or from ‘Good’ to ‘Flourishing’.

However, if you are currently struggling with your mental health - for example with eating disorders, depression or undue anxiety - you should see an IFS therapist. A therapist will help you get from ‘Struggling’ to ‘OK’.  If this sounds like you, you are welcome to contact me and I will help you find a therapist trained in IFS.  Or if you are not sure whether you need to see me or find a therapist I am happy to have a chat - just fill in the contact form.
