IFS Parts Detector

As an IFS practitioner, I was curious about how the language of parts might come alive through stories, people and even objects - so I have built this playful tool.

Ever wondered what parts might live inside Barbie, Red Riding Hood, a volcano, or even your pet?

In IFS we can imagine what parts might be present, though of course we can never know for certain — especially for fictional people, pets, or volcanoes.

The Parts Detector is a light-hearted way to explore how Internal Family Systems concepts appear in everyday stories and symbols. It isn’t therapy or analysis — just a way to get curious about patterns of protection, vulnerability, and transformation that IFS points to. You might find it sparks reflection on familiar characters or even the world around you.

You’ll need at least a free version of ChatGPT to use it.

This is still evolving, so if you notice something interesting or odd, or if you have ideas for other things I could create, you’re welcome to share them below.

How could improve the parts detector? What other IFS tools could we create that would be useful?
